The 2026 USA Floorball Nationals were held June 16-22 in Chicago, Illinois, at the beautiful Blackhawks Ice Arena. This year's event combined the Youth and Adult National Championships with the U19 Men's World Floorball Championship Qualification (WFCQ) tournament, creating one of the largest events in USA Floorball history.
The Adult Division featured 13 teams, while the Youth Division included seven teams.
Representing North Texas in the Youth Division, the Texas Lone Stars were led by Coach Oscar Lopez. The team battled hard throughout the tournament, playing five games and finishing with a record of 0 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie. While the results did not fall in their favor, the experience provided valuable opportunities for growth and development against some of the nation's top youth programs.
One of the tournament's standout performers was Brayden Clegg, who finished fourth among all scorers. Brayden recorded 15 points on 11 goals and 4 assists, earning his place among the tournament's top offensive players.

This year, our USA Nationals team looked a little different, but the standard and pride of our club remained unchanged. NTFA was represented in the Adult Division by Team N2FA, a roster comprised of a combination of NTFA and N2FA players.
During round-robin play, the team posted a solid 1-1-1 record. In the opening game against Triangle Floorball Club, Team Captain and NTFA General Manager Matt Nunez delivered a dramatic game-tying goal with just 0.7 seconds remaining, helping secure a tie and setting the tone for the tournament.
As the tournament progressed, the team began to find its rhythm. In the matchup against Minnesota, the passing, chemistry, and scoring opportunities started to come together, showcasing the team's confidence and potential.
N2FA faced Mountain West in the quarterfinals and earned an impressive 5-2 victory to advance to the semifinals.
The semifinal matchup against Triangle Floorball Club proved to be one of the most exciting games of the tournament. The contest remained tightly contested throughout regulation and required both golden-goal overtime and a penalty shootout. Despite a tremendous effort, N2FA came up just short, falling 4-3.
The team responded with a strong performance in the bronze medal game, defeating Minnesota 7-4 to secure a place on the podium and bring home the bronze medal.
Congratulations to Isak Angerstig, who was awarded Most Points. Isak led all scorers with 17 points, recording 9 goals and 8 assists.
We are NTFA—a community built on friendship, family, and floorball. More than championships and trophies, we are defined by the relationships we build, the support we give one another, and the pride we take in wearing our colors.
Success isn't measured only by banners and medals, but by the culture we build, the friendships we create, and the pride we share in being part of something bigger than ourselves. No matter who takes the floor, we are proud to represent our club, our community, and the tradition of excellence that has been built over the years.

The 2026 USA Floorball Nationals showcased the continued growth of floorball in the United States and brought together athletes from across the country for one of the largest national championships in recent memory.
NTFA and the Texas Lone Stars proudly represented Texas on the national stage, creating lasting memories and valuable experiences along the way. The weekend concluded with Team N2FA earning a bronze medal finish in the Adult Division, adding another chapter to the proud tradition of North Texas floorball.
Together, we compete with passion, respect the game, and continue to strengthen the legacy that makes NTFA special.
