This year 2025 USA Floorball Nationals was held in Georgetown, TX at the beautiful Southwestern University Robertson Center for 4th of July weekend. It was a combined Youth and Adult tournament that brought over 120 players and filled the stands with many spectators. The combination of the two tournaments made the event one of the largest USA FB has seen in years. It filled the stands and made for a fun 4th of July family weekend!
The Adult tournament yielded 9 teams (2 Austin, 2 NTFA, 2 U19, Chicago, the USA FB Women's National team and Colorado). The Youth division included 4 teams (NTFA, Chicago, Utah, & Austin).
This was the first time since 2019 that NTFA was able to bring a Youth team, which we have now appropriately named the NTFA LoneStars and have official NTFA jerseys. The team was led by coaches Nick VanPatten, Matt Nunez, and Ethan VanPatten and the roster consisted of a dynamic group of young boys ranging in age from 8-14. The LoneStars ended up taking 2nd place in the Youth tournament. Well done Team!!
This year NTFA brought two teams to the adult tournament. Between the two teams NTFA had a total of 31 players. Both NTFA and N2FA did well during the group stage each finishing 1st in their brackets. As the quarter finals and semifinals commenced N2FA dropped to 2nd in their group finishing overall in 7th place. Oscar Lopez #3 was the highest scoring leader for the team with a total of 8 points including 3 goals and 5 Assists. Matt Goebel did a stellar job as their goalie with a 79% SV%.
Team NTFA moved into the FINAL against the Chicago Mad Dogs ultimately winning with a score of 5-1. Landon VanPatten won the individual award for most points with a total of 19 points that included 10 goals and 9 Assists. We had some pretty impressive players with stats this year that finished in the TOP 10 scoring leaders for the entire tournament... These players included Landon VanPatten, Ryan Folic, Isak Angerstig & Adam Takacs and our goalie Ethan VanPatten took home the Best Goalie award with a Save % of 93%! This win took NTFA to their 4th consecutive Nationals win and 5 total overall. Making their national titles 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, & 2019
Over the years NTFA has had many faces of their US Nationals Team players. The following are the names we are proud to say have represented team NTFA and won a national title and the number of Titles they have been a part of.
